Sadly all good things must come to an end, In November we removed airbridge 001 from Auckland Airport. This was the very first passenger boarding bridge built by Airport Equipment back in 1975, and has been in continual operation since then. Just imagine who might have walked down it over its 45 years in service.
The good news it that it was replaced with a brand new bridge featuring all the latest advantages an Airport Equipment/JBT Jetway bridge offers - including intellidock (automatic bridge docking), Intelligate (monitoring and management system), and the new JBT SJX preconditioned air unit.
