The AEL / Jetway Elevating Bridge allows passengers to walk between the terminal and aircraft completely protected from atmospheric conditions.
The Jetway Elevating passenger bridge is available in a variety of models, determined by the distance of vertical lift and the length of the "A" tunnel.
A double lift column with dual drive is used to raise and lower hte bridge, and depending on the model selected, and Elevating bridge can serve all commercial aircraft currently in service (including the A380).
Altough the bridge is fixed, it is capable of extending or retracting ten feet (3.05m) and features 30 degress of cab rotation. As a result, the Elevating bridge affords considerable flexibility for accurate cab alignment, proper docking, and ease of operation.
